Privacy policy
What Macloving collects, why, who helps us run it, and your rights.
Who we are
Macloving (macloving.app) is operated by legal entity name, business address ("Macloving", "we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal information described here. Questions about privacy: support@macloving.app or contact support.
This policy covers the website, your Macloving account, checkout, downloads, updates, support, and the activation of membership apps on your Mac. Each app also describes what it does on your Mac in the privacy section of its app page; read that alongside this policy.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to run the service.
Your account
- Email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google. Used to sign you in and to link your membership, downloads and devices to you. There are no passwords.
- Sign-in sessions: a record that you're signed in on a browser.
- Your choices: avatar, email preferences, and the version of the terms you accepted.
Membership and payments
- Order and subscription records from Polar, our payment provider: what you paid, when, the amount and the status of your membership. We never receive or store card or bank details.
Downloads and updates
- Download history: which app versions your account downloaded and when (shown in your account).
- Update checks from apps: counted per app and day, without personal details. Membership apps send their device token so we can confirm access.
Devices you activate
For membership apps on a Mac: a random installation identifier generated by the app (not derived from your hardware), a device name you can change, the macOS version, and timestamps such as activation and last check-in. We don't collect serial numbers or fingerprint your Mac.
Support
Messages you send through the contact form, by email or with "Report a problem" in an app, and anything you attach, such as optional diagnostics (app version, macOS version and app logs you choose to include).
Technical data
Our hosting providers process IP addresses and request details to deliver pages and files and to protect against abuse. We use a hash of your IP address for rate limits and do not store it with your account.

We don't sell or share your personal information for advertising, and we don't use it to train AI models.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers who process information on our behalf, listed with what they do on our service providers page: Vercel (website hosting), Convex (backend and database), Cloudflare (DNS and file storage), Resend (email), Google (optional sign-in) and Polar (payments, as merchant of record under its own privacy policy).
Some providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, transfers are protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We don't sell or share personal information as defined by California law.

Cookies
We use only essential cookies, to keep you signed in and to protect sign-in and checkout. See our cookie notice.
Security
Sign-in uses Google or one-time codes, so there are no passwords to leak. Files are stored privately and handed out through links that expire after five minutes. Payment details never reach our servers. Read more on our security page. If a breach affects your information, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
Macloving isn't directed at children. You must be at least minimum age to create an account.
Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change and show the date below. For significant changes, we'll tell you by email or on the website before they apply.
